Zespół Szkół i Przedszkola is a complex of schools, including kindergarten, primary school and middle school. Our school is situated in the South of Poland in a small town of Kalety called Forest Nook of Silesia. The town is surrounded by forest. It is a center of 10,000 inhabitants, whose economy is based mainly on the service sector, but there are also several small and medium-sized craft and industrial companies

The school is located in a two-story detached building. The school was founded in 1950 however the school construction project was already created in 1937. Due to financial reasons, later due to war activities, the idea was postponed till 1948 In July 1948. The grand opening of school took place September 1, 1950.

Our students are generally from the town of Kalety. There are around 250 students and 17 teachers. There are 11 classrooms and eleven classes – 6 classes of primary school and 2 classes of gymnasium, there are also two groups of preschoolers aged 2.5 to 5 years old. In the school building there are: a library, language lab, media room, game room and a gym.

In school, there are dance classes specializing in national dances as the school cooperates with world-famous Song and Dance Ensemble Silesia and local dance team Rock&Roll band. We work closely with cultural organizations.

The school achieves high results in teaching- it is evidenced by the results of external examinations. The school is a great opportunity for personal growth and solid preparation for secondary school education.

Kalety is a small town in the northern part of the Silesian Voivodeship, located north of Tarnowskie Góry and Miasteczko Śląskie, by the Mała Panew river. The town is a center of 10,000 inhabitants, whose economy is based mainly on the service sector, but there are also several small and medium-sized craft and industrial companies Location near the Silesian agglomeration, on its outskirts, away from the big city noise, provides perfect conditions for rest, recreation and settlement. Eighty per cent commons land area is covered by forest, hence its nickname the forest nook of Silesia. Forests around the town are a paradise for mushroom pickers. Foresters are also appreciated by cyclists. Currently, 4 natural and scientific faculties are marked in the town. Another place is worth mentioning is Aleja Dębów, which is in the Truszczyca district. The main attractions are beautiful pedunculate oaks, estimated from 300 to 600 years old, they are registered as natural monuments. The entire route is inscribed on the list of legally protected objects. Areas around the water reservoirs on Mała Panew in Kalety-Zielona are the places ​​where you can admire the extraordinary richness of nature. Beavers are the biggest attraction; they have chosen the areas in Zielona for their feeding grounds. Their presence testifies to the undeniable purity of water and the environment.
